Most helpful review The Great Escape

  • remember when war films were jolly as well as sad?

    Rated - 5.0 stars

    [Highly rated reviewer]

One of the greatest war films ever made! Dickie Attenborough is at his stiff upper lipped best and Steve Mcqueen is at his coolest.

Chuck in a a bunch of nazis and a few moterbike jumps and what's not to make any true Englishman more excited then a kid in a sweetshop?

Rent this! it's the last thing the bosh would expect..

    'Good luck!'

5 stars is not enough for the greatest war film made, with a stellar cast. A must for anyone. Brilliant.

An exciting and enjoyable film with great characters and suspense. I recommend watching this and researching the true story after, not before!

I don't useually like old films but I liked this one. I think its becuase it has Nazi's in it and I really don't like nazi's, well who does I guess??? It was good to see the Nazi's get skanked out and look like mug's!!!!

That Bit where the bike flys over the fence proper scared me! I thought He was going to stack himself right in.

I like the theme Music too it's about as english as a sausage sandwich.

    I like sausages.

    Hope this Helps

    A Camm
