Most helpful review The Greatest - Muhammad Ali

  • When We Were Kings is a far better Ali story

If you are going to see a documentary about Muhammad Ali, don't bother with this one - see When We Were Kings. It is a far more in depth look at Ali with more Ali clips and narratives - this one is merely a documentary with a lot of still pictures of Ali, some action sequences but is mainly a narrative about his life. Very very disappointing, particularly after seeing When We Were Kings and being blown away by it.

This is a documentary of Ali's career shown through lots of stills and some fight action.

If you're looking for action from his greatest fights, this is not the DVD for you, but if you want an insight into the man and his career give it a look.

I learned a few things I didn't know and was entertained.

This mainly consists of archive film footage rarely seen and not all that exciting. It is only for reral fans insisted in the social history as well as the legend.
