LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
The Grey is never on a par with more ambitious survival epics, but it's a pretty solid action movie with take it or leave it existentialist leanings and howling zoological inaccuracies.

The always-excellent Neeson in an average but watchable film
By roncoach (365 reviews) from suffolk , 10 Jul 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
Any film starring Liam Neeson has got to be worth watching.
Whilst this is no exception to that view, it is not one of his best movie choices.
We need films like this, because the 'survivors in the wilderness' sub-genre is usually solid and reliable.
'Solid' and 'reliable' sums up this film too.
The addition of the wolves, rather than merely the usual fight against the elements, makes it more exciting, almost chilling ( no pun intended :))) in places.
Yes, I'm glad I watched it. There are far too many 1* and 2*
films escaping onto our screens that any 3 * film ( which I rate this as) is welcome. It is always good to have a number of 3* 'safe' films available at home for those darker nights or rainy days.
Liam Neeson is one of my favourite movie stars, and nothing in this average film changes my view of him.
Worth watching , but not among your list of top priorities.- Was this review helpful to you?

If you like swearing you'll love this
By sheepman (21 reviews) from Saltcoats, Scotland , 06 May 2013Once again a reasonable film spoiled by the constant swearing. Are directors really so incredibly uneducated that they need to inundate the scripts with c***, mother****** etc? It adds nothing to the film and gets SO tedious.- Was this review helpful to you?

Grey by name & grey to watch
By giveup (4 reviews) , 29 Apr 2013Unless you really really like Liam Neeson I would suggest avoiding this movie and spend your cash on something else. Dull, plodding, over religious and with a very poor ending. Can I have my money back????- Was this review helpful to you?

Neeson good, film average at best!
By lizcam (8 reviews) , 23 Apr 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
I love Liam Neeson but this is definitely not one of his best. His acting was excellent as always, but the film was at best average and at worst pretty dire. Not my thing I'm afraid.- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth watching by the fireside
By FINFIN (15 reviews) from ESSEX, ENGLAND , 23 Apr 2013Liam Neeson, is his usual self (which for me is good) the story and the photography are good, just that in some parts the survival bit gets a little unreal in parts but there is some good drama. Worth watching though and don't turn it off when the credits come up.- Was this review helpful to you?
