LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
The Grey is never on a par with more ambitious survival epics, but it's a pretty solid action movie with take it or leave it existentialist leanings and howling zoological inaccuracies.

The always-excellent Neeson in an average but watchable film
By roncoach (365 reviews) from suffolk , 10 Jul 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
Any film starring Liam Neeson has got to be worth watching.
Whilst this is no exception to that view, it is not one of his best movie choices.
We need films like this, because the 'survivors in the wilderness' sub-genre is usually solid and reliable.
'Solid' and 'reliable' sums up this film too.
The addition of the wolves, rather than merely the usual fight against the elements, makes it more exciting, almost chilling ( no pun intended :))) in places.
Yes, I'm glad I watched it. There are far too many 1* and 2*
films escaping onto our screens that any 3 * film ( which I rate this as) is welcome. It is always good to have a number of 3* 'safe' films available at home for those darker nights or rainy days.
Liam Neeson is one of my favourite movie stars, and nothing in this average film changes my view of him.
Worth watching , but not among your list of top priorities.- Was this review helpful to you?

(329)Alternative to Anthony Hopkins The Bear without a story
By Gdkool (26 reviews) , 16 May 2013This was boring, the only reason i watched this because it had Liam Neeson in it. The plot was wolves stalking a group of people and Neeson was some kind of expert in killing them, however that was it, not much of a story.- Was this review helpful to you?

scenary steals the show
By a customer , 13 May 2013Not a bad film although some of the acting is a bit wooden. Nice scenary to look at, only downside was our disc had several problems- Was this review helpful to you?

Unwarranted bad press for wolves
By SilentHouse (17 reviews) from Barrhead , 12 May 2013This was okay but I thought the representation of wolves was unrealistic and irresponsible. This film could do damage for wolves the way Jaws did damage for great white sharks. Other than that, watchable, keeps your interest but ultimately forgettable.- Was this review helpful to you?

Liam neeson vs the wild
By matrixlover (5 reviews) , 08 May 2013A fairly decent survival thriller with a top notch liam neeson performance and some fairly good scenes with the pack of wolves and also with a suprisingly poignant ending. 7/10- Was this review helpful to you?
