  • Another 'based on a true story' lie!

Saw this in the US last week. This is possibly the worst film I have ever seen! Total garbage! the preview shows you the best bits of the film (excited eh?). apparently the family involved in the 'based on a true story' have totally denied everything shown in the film!

No scary bits, no story, no acting. Lets face it, the Americans can't make good horror, they let the French, Spanish and Japanese make the best films and then try to copy them, with poor results. Avoid at all costs, just when you think you've seen the worst horror film ever made, along comes this trash!

As a lover of films that have things that go bump in the night, I had not actually expected this film to be as good as it really is. I have seen so may ghost/poltergeist films that I have had to turn them off because they were that bad BUT this film actually did make me jump a few times, which is very rare! Acting, special effects & story line are excellent. Makes 'The Amityville Horror' look like a childrens 'Jackanory' story (younger readers ask your parents). Well worth watching but be warned, you had better not watch it in the dark!

ghost films are probably the most scariest films ever when you think about it cause they COULD actually happen and this one did once. I've seen the original documentary, and the film sticks by the true accounts, yes there are a couple of over done bits, but hey its hollywood right.

defo worth watching with the light on!!!

Decent horror, very watchable made me jump quite a few times. Based on a true story which makes it even scarier.
