This 'based' on a true story horror fails to scare...

Another 'based on a true story' lie!By Cloughie (48 reviews) from Nottingham , 20 Mar 2009
[Highly rated reviewer]Saw this in the US last week. This is possibly the worst film I have ever seen! Total garbage! the preview shows you the best bits of the film (excited eh?). apparently the family involved in the 'based on a true story' have totally denied everything shown in the film!
No scary bits, no story, no acting. Lets face it, the Americans can't make good horror, they let the French, Spanish and Japanese make the best films and then try to copy them, with poor results. Avoid at all costs, just when you think you've seen the worst horror film ever made, along comes this trash!

Worth a lookBy tesskelly (21 reviews) from Stevenage , 24 Dec 2009This film being a true story also was well worth watching I had my doubts but the acting was all very good and really made you believe these things were happening to this family.
fineBy nnicola (4 reviews) from Ferryhill , 20 Dec 2009watchable, not sure how to rate it really, true story???
Cliched nonsenseBy andrewm99 (2 reviews) from Northwood , 19 Dec 2009Gon't waste your time or money on this predictable rubbish.
House Hunting In ConnecticutBy jordanchaos (7 reviews) from Brighton , 18 Dec 2009House Hunting In Connecticut would have been a far scarier film than this, i think the 'plot' gets lost and its trying to be so intelligent and clever in some places you just thing 'what?!?' and not in the good kind of David Lynch 'what!?!'
Based on a true story that some people moved in to a house because their son has cancer and then he starts some kind of weird relationship with an obviously crazy Robert de Niro impersonator. All seems too tacked together, there are many better horror films than this, hell even the SAW franchise is more fun.
Ok HorrorBy Jo27uk (16 reviews) from Cambridge , 16 Dec 2009Only scary due to use of sudden movement with loud music at certain points.. Overall not that good as the storyline is predictable and the scary parts are not that scary.
