It may have only reached number two in the US chart, but Ben Stiller's new movie The Heartbreak Kid fared better in the UK upon its release this week. Debuting in first place, The Heartbreak Kid beat new action thriller The Kingdom into second and pushed long-reigning favourite Run, Fat Boy, Run to number three, according to data from AC Nielsen. A new comedy starring Ben Stiller has been kept off the top of the US box office chart by a sports-themed movie featuring The Rock. The UK box office chart saw a shake-up this week with six new entries and a wide selection of genre films entering the top ten. An animated tale of food-loving rats, Ratatouille, hit the top spot, followed by Resident Evil: Extinction, a sci-fi thriller with tons of action and a lot of gore. Grisly horror sequel Saw IV may have proved popular with Halloween audiences this weekend, but not quite as much as animated comedy Ratatouille, according to this week's UK box office chart. A new comedy from award-winning writer-director Tyler Perry has hit the top spot of the US box office charts in its opening week.
