The Hills Have Eyes 2

As part of a routine mission, a unit of soldiers stop at a desert outpost only to find the isolated research camp mysteriously deserted. After spotting a distress call in the distant mountain range the team decides to commence a search and rescue mission into the hills. Little do they know that these are the very hills that the ill fated Carter family once visited, and that a tribe of cannibalistic mutants lies in wait. But this time, there is an even larger evil force at work that is intent on the soldiers' destruction.

The film has no brain 2

Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes remains one of my favourite horror films of all time; gritty, funny and relentless.

I quite liked Aja's updating which made the film more of a 'fantasy' but had enough visual inventiveness and good pacing to keep me engrossed.

The Hills Have Eyes 2 came along hot on the heels of Aja's remake, doubtlessly to cash in on its success and it's a disaster. Despite some attempts at topicality the dialogue is pretty flat and the story non-existent - its just a group of soldiers being picked off one by one.

This tedious excuse for a few gore effects strung together on the thinnest of plots had more than outstayed its welcome after 30 minutes and I couldn't even be bothered to fast forward through the chapters to see if if it improved. Dire!

    What do u expect?

If you’re turning your DVD player on and expecting to be wowed then don’t even put this disk near it!

It's alright if you’re expecting a rubbish plot line with a script a 4 year old could have come up with (but that’s not really fair on 4 year olds!) and not to mention how predictive it is. They should have left it at the first film the sequel really is not in the same league and should be put as a comedy rather than a horror!

But hey that’s just my opinion watch it might be your cup of tea, I'm just honest.
