Before he was famous!By John Craig from Scotland , 02 Jun 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Anyone expecting a re-run or a move-on from Wes Craven's classic had best avoid this one. The only good thing about it is that it obviously has a bigger budget, better actors, and the same dog from the original (in character, anyway). Although Mr Craven did direct it, it feels like a 'you make this sequel and we'll fund your next movie' job, ie, his heart wasn't in it and neither was his talent. There is the obligatory move to centre the action around a group of hapless teenagers, which was the 'new' thing for the early eighties, but we've all seen it since, and seen it much better executed.
Avoid like the hills.

ONE OF THE WORST HORROR MOVIES EVER MADEBy Carl Chrystan from Bury, Lancshire , 12 Nov 2006Wes Craven admits that he did this fim for the money.
But even if you've got a little talent, you'd still make something OK.
This is boring. There is very little gore, no scares. Incomprehensible characters. Massive plot flaws. It fails on every single level. You should not waste your time renting this. Wes Craven's lowest ever point. It's amazing that this was done within a year or so of 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. Perhaps though, if he'd put more effort into this, then we'd have never had Freddy Krueger. Perhaps it is a good thing then that this film exists.
One funny point. Ever wondered if a dog had flashbacks?
not so goodBy a customer from UK , 09 Sep 2006This sequal was a bit dissapointing, not much different to the first. I enjoyed the first but was hoping for something a bit different in the sequal.
Not one I would recommend
Not as good as the first oneBy a customer from Leicester, England. , 26 Jun 2006A bit disappointing although it did still have you on the edge of your seat at times.
So much recycled material!By James from Brighton , 18 Jun 2006Theres so much recycled material from the 1st film in this one. The story is boring. Doesnt stand up at all and well you say to urself... wot was the point in making this film!
The Hills Have Eyes - Part 2 (1984)By a customer from Leeds, UK , 29 Mar 2006Not a bad film for its year! It did follow on well from the first one, and the same actors were used which is always better!!! A classic to watch!!!
