[Highly rated reviewer]a really good thriller which at times runs frame for frame with the original. shame though that its not as good as the original, dont know what it is, i mean sean is really great, the gore level has been pumped up a grade & some serious eye candy has been introduced just to give the story a slight twist from the original.however it may be too soon for a remake & try as you may, hauer was made for the lead & at the time was at the top of his game.

good filmBy sexyplonker (14 reviews) from Plymouth , 24 Dec 2009enjoyed the film, only thing that spoilt it was the disc was faulty so did not see some of the scenes, and the ending of the film was not the way I expected, other than that yws enjoyed watching
The HitcherBy Gloney (13 reviews) from Widnes , 13 Dec 2009The original was worth a second watch. This remake was utter rubbish. So predictable. Tried to give it a chance but switched off after twenty minutes.
The Hitcher remakeBy a customer from Sheffield , 17 Oct 2009It is hard to know exactly why this film was made, it follows the original so closely. One might expect a remake to bring something new to the original story but this was not the case here, other than the fact that the victims of Ryder's pursuit are a couple rather than an individual. Some scenes from the original were dropped and others were a little more graphic but this added little or nothing to their shock value or to the atmospere of the film. The film is competently made in most respects but Sean Bean lacks the sinister aura that Rutger Hauer brought to the role of Ryder and, in the deleted scenes at least, his character becomes almost banal. I would recommend anyone unfamiliar with the film to see the original before they see this version.
the hitcherBy a customer from chilham , 09 Oct 2009apart from the dire superimposed jsck rsbbit at the beginning, this was a reslly good film, tense and exciting. Sean Bean's accent wasn't too noticeable and he was really threatening as the hitcher, good showdown at the end. kept suspended right to the last
Far Fetched but GrippingBy a customer from Surrey , 09 Oct 2009Film started very plausible and believable but decended into the ridiculous. Having said that, it was gripping and kept my attention right to the end, shocks, spills and thrills, car crashes and gore galore!
But oh Sean, you are getting sooooooooo type cast. Aren't you a little tired of regurgitating the 'Bean Villian' again and again?!
