As a slasher freak, I didn't find this film scary. A certain amount of suspense is nevertheless built up that elevates this film slightly above others of its genre.
Pleasingly, all of the standard elements are present: secluded sorority house, nude co-eds, and the one bookish prude who serves as heroine. Gore, however, is somewhat mild in this film, and not very well done.
Yet there is some suspense. The ending, in particular, is well done. The usual 'twist' notwithstanding, I found it somewhat unsettling. The hallucination device is used to good effect.
Otherwise, it's fairly average. The effects are slightly below par on this one, but the competent acting makes up for this - particularly the creepy house mother.
The DVD transfer itself is fairly poor. The audio/visual synchronisation is off by a couple of seconds. But hey, who watches these movies for dialogue?
