Although not necessarily one of the more gruesome films around any more, the scenes where the were change to wolves are still amongst some of the best change imagery around even in this era of CGI effects.
The acting itself was somewhat less than inspired - one hates to say wooden especially with Patrick McNee as one of the 'baddies' but not on a level with the effects work
