Sublime, nobody does black humour better than John Cussack: (Grosse Point Blank), (Pushing Tin).
Not laugh out loud hilarious, but plenty of tasty little snippets to get you chuckling. A wonderful cast (Platt a totally believable drunk) even made me fancy a Vodka or 3! Billy Bob Thornton a calm, menacing Psychopath.
Lots of neat twists and turns and equiste one liners, very dark in Places yet still captures the essence of Christmas, (the opening credits are wonderful). I for one loved it and would recommend it unconditionally.
An enjoyable, film noirish vehicle for the always watchable and dry John Cusack. He is a lawyer who has planned the 'perfect crime' of stealling a fortune from his mob boss. Billy Bob Thornton has provided the balls to carry out the plan. The film begins at the start of the evening with the suitcase of money and follows John Cusack until dawn during which he has a long night involving strip joints, copious amounts of alcohol, a Christmas Eve dinner from hell, a manipulative vixen and a fair amount of treachery and deceit
