    [Highly rated reviewer]

The last hulk was horrible, this one is slightly better. Well, it is as usual, predictable, very much rely on CGI, and you know what? Hulk's face looks like a cartoon style (more to anime) and it is just off.

CGI is good, but not that good. You can still feel that Liv Tyler is talking to nobody when she talked with Hulk. And I just can't stand Hulk's screaming, it spends a whole damn movie. The storyline of the movie makes you feel asleep, boring action not like Iron man, this is certainly not a very good movie to watch. But since we are all Marvel geek we have to bear the suffering to watch it. This got one star since it shows Tony Stark in the epilogue.

After watching the Avengers & Captain America, even though the hulk was a good film it did'nt quite hold the punch i was looking for. Probably because the Hulk in the Avengers was unstopable. The Hulk movie did hold a bit of a love story in it which was nice.

I was very pleased with this film, much better than the first which was awful. This film has a lot of action, is very exciting and a brilliant film. Definitely a film to rent and a good watch.

Lets get this straight from the off- if your kids loved the way the Hulk tore through The Avengers and all the laughs he got and you're expecting more of the same from watching this,- you're going to be VERY disappointed.

This is more watchable than the the 2003 movie with Eric Bana, but is still very much centred on Bruce Banner's struggle with his 'curse'- meaning less screen time for the Hulk himself.

Admittedly Banner's alter ego is a mass of uncontrollable rage and the conflict within him to contain that means that this film is better suited to a slightly older audience - but at the end of the day this is still a super-hero flick and it's the Hulk we're all waiting for.

Ed Norton does a good job of trying to capture the character of Bruce Banner - but for my money it's still too heavy on Banner and too light on the Hulk- cos lets face it, as brilliant a portrayal as Bill Bixby did of Banner (which I doubt will ever be topped), you were only really waiting for the (not so) jolly green giant to arrive and start smashing up the place.

This film is also far too long and takes an age to get to the final battle which, although pretty good, takes so long to happen it loses the impact you're hoping for.

If you're a fan of Marvel heroes then it's a fair stab at a Hulk movie,- I just didn't find it as entertaining as Thor or Ironman's outings.

Have never been as much of a fan of the Hulk story as I have of other Marvel Superheroes, mainly due to the fact that there's less script, more random screaming and yelling and not much else except 'Hulk smash' but this was a pleasnat surprise after the previous incarnation of the Hulk a few years back...Nortan plays a very good Hulk and succeeds well in portraying a shy and modest scientist beofre turning into the green wrecking machine...brilliant film and worth watching before Avengers...

  • gets closer to the comics once you realise how much more stylish the ang lee version is.!

There's such attention to cgi detail that watching the fight scenes between the hulk vs the abomination we may as well be watching a HD video game or indeed reading the comics. This may be just as well and the visual effects may be stunning but the world in the film feels all grey, sinewy, with textures running into one another, making the action appear cloudy and distant.

The world hulk destroyed in ang lee's film popped was real and had weight (ok so you didn't like him bright green but remember hulk smashing through the lab and throwing that massive machine out, how the water literally shook off his massive body?) in this hulk movie cars are flipped aside all very well, but there's nothing to jolt against us, whilst the rain-water just trickles correctly down hulks detailed sinews.

i felt too safe and removed.
