    [Highly rated reviewer]

This film is really good, and benefits from the fact that it had all of the vampires cut from it. When a film is adapted from a book, and the plot is religiously adhered to, then a lot gets lost in translation.

The film, for me, is a great depiction of what life is probably like for spoilt, debauched L.A. rich-kids, and it is hard not to think 'good' when it all starts going pear-shaped.

The young actors do well to portray their characters as the charmless and otiose sybarites that they are assumedly meant to be: that they are in the book.

I enjoyed this film a lot, and was a bit shocked when I found that it was given a rough ride when it came out.

'What happens when no-one's taught you the difference between what's good and what's bad?' Graham asks Martin. Well, Graham, you end up making a film like this. This is a bad film. The script is appalling, there's no story and the characters are one dimensional lego people spouting meaningless cliches. To cap it all off it's set in a bad decade (the 80s). However, Amber Heard's boobs are fantastic. I would give them 5 stars. The film gets zero stars. Overall a 2. 5er.

  • A bore

A film without real substance, the only good thing was .. none of it. It was as if the cast weren't even trying to act properly, it was a sloppy and stupid waste of time money and I agree with the negative reviews on this film. In a sentence

'A dire and uninteresting film and should not be classed as a thriller'.

It was mainly about people having sex and a confusing and unclear ending was she dead, if so what killed her, or was she just resting?

I would have more fun watching paint dry

The only disc I've ever turned off, after five minutes. Not even the delights of Amber Heard could make me watch this.

Wish I'd read the comments before renting this pile of garbage. Bret Easton Ellis who penned the superior American Psycho, wrote this???? Even Amber Heard's nakedness couldn't save the day; in fact Jonah Hex was better than The Informers and that's really saying something!

  • Forced to watch commercials!

Before I even start to watch this film, I hate this DVD! it is one of those where you are forced to endure 10 or so minutes of commercials for other films. Fast forward and skip are prohibited functions. My retaliation, I am writing this rather than watch the commercials!
