Together with director Sydney Pollack, the Cold Mountain star sought to publicise her role as United Nations interpreter Silvia Broome. Cage does battle in Lord Of War

Another big movie to hit cinema screens in the UK this weekend was Nicolas Cage's Lord Of War. The Leaving Las Vegas and Matchstick Men actor plays the role of Yuri Orlov, an arms dealer. Orlov is hunted by an Interpol agent, played by Ethan Hawke, the star of Gattaca, Snow Falling On Cedars and Dead Poets Society. Sydney Pollack 1934-2008 Sydney Pollack, the American actor and filmmaker, passed away after a battle with cancer, Monday. He was 73.
