    Hits All The Right Marks.

This was the film that put Sammo Hung on the Kung Fu map. Directed by and starring the big man, this is a traditional revenge story given a lift by some fine comedy, but most importantly some great fighting. Sammo is trainered at Shaolin and uses his training, initially just to get revenge for his fathers murder, but he has a change of heart and helps dye factory workers in their conflict with an evil Manchu official.

Sammo's level of physicality is equal to the fittest, more nimble fighter. He shows that size does not always limit skill, even in the department of athletisism. Able support is provided by James Tien, Chen Sing, Wu Ma and Fung Hak-On as the Manchu. A real classic of the genre, not to be missed.
