A rather sad [but definitely worth watching] tale of the grim conditions in a present day Russian orphanage. An astonishing performance by the leading child actor. The film also is possibly a reflection of the state of modern - day Russia, rife with corruption, but with pockets of human kindness, and hope thrown in.
It worth waiting through all the realistic horrors and brilliant acting for the happy ending
