One of the most popular Disney films ever, The Jungle Book is a song-filled celebration of friendship, fun and adventure set in a lush and colourful world. Inspired by Rudyard Kipling's "Mowgli" stories, Disney's 19th animated classic was the last animated feature to bear Walt Disney's personal touch. This jubilant adventure begins when Mowgli, a young boy raised by wolves, is urged by his friend Bagheera, a wise old panther, to seek safety in the man-village. Feeling very much at home in the jungle, Mowgli resists and runs off where he meets Baloo the bear, a lovable "jungle bum" with a happy-go-lucky philosophy of life. Together these new buddies find the journey back to civilisation anything but civilised, encountering a crazy orang-utan, a hynotic snake and the menacing tiger Shere Khan along the way!

this is from the golden age of disney when they couldn't put a foot wrong, it's about a boy who is abandoned at birth in the indian jungle and raised by wolves, he becomes a threat as he gets older as a result of a vindictive tiger and has to leave the jungle. What ensues is a laugh a minute comedy musical, with some of the best disney songs, its infused with 60's style and colour and it has some of the best characters to ever have come out of the house of mouse. One for the whole family
Other films might quote one of the outstanding songs of this truly great Disney cartoon: 'I Wanna Be Like You'. That is, have a great plot, characters, artwork, script and songs. Superb!
Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn - and neither should he, given Clark Gable is in the most watched film ever. The American civil war epic Gone with the Wind, where Gable utters his famous line to Vivien Leigh, came out top in the British Film Institute's review of ticket sales. Around 35 million people have seen the classic love story in British cinemas since it was first released more than 60 years ago. Second in the all-time list was The Sound of Music, the Julie Andrews musical that was... Read more
