    [Highly rated reviewer]

I thought this was a great film, Demi Moore playing a blinder.

The film just proves that love can conquer all!

    Definitely one to watch.

Good enough film although I did find it a little long. Not the best of films Demi Moore has done but good enough for lazy night in with a bottle of wine.

I think this was a decent enough thriller with some good performances, especially from the charismatic 'Baldwin'.

'Demi Moore' (Disclosure) plays 'Annie Laird', a single mother and artist who is called to jury duty on the very public case of a Mafia boss.

'Alec Baldwin' (The Shadow) is an eccentric Mafia associate known as 'The Teacher', who suddenly appears in Annie's life and threatens her son and those she loves, if she dares to vote 'Guilty'.

Backed into a corner, she has no option but to play along with his demands even if that means breaking the law.

Things get even worse after the trial has ended, when Annie realises that 'The Teacher' has no intention of leaving her alone, as he has become deeply obsessed with her.

Great support cast in 'Anne Heche' (Psycho) as Annie's best friend 'Juliet' and also 'James Gandolfini' (The Sopranos), who plays a Mafia guy called 'Eddie' who despite his job is actually a decent guy. :)

Excellent adaptation of the John Grisham novel. Demi Moore and Alex Baldwin give believable performances as does Anne Heche. The tension keeps up througout the film and I was engrossed til the end.
