In case you haven't realised (and the description hardly makes this clear), this is a mini-series of 8 episodes, supplied on two discs. It's not a movie as such.
If, like me, you sat down to watch this expecting a polished Hollywood affair, the low-budget, obviously made-for-TV opening might disappoint. It did me.
However, stick with it until the second or third episode and things do improve. Whilst you begin to wonder 'how on earth are the writers going to make this story last for 8 episodes?' they do actually manage to pull it off.
I'll leave the discussion of the story to someone else, but I will say this - all the characters need to go back to a firing range. There are many occasions where both sides in a gun-battle are armed with automatic weapons and a seemingly endless supply of ammunition. But, despite firing at each other at near point-blank range, no-one seems to get hit. Amazing...
This movie is three hours too long & sent me to sleep.
