Truly Memorable.

Casey Affleck's portral of Lou Ford is fantastic and has great depth of character. If you've read the festival reviews about the violence, don't be put off watching this. Yes, there are some uncomfortable scenes, but these go to show Ford as deeply disturbed. However, at times during the film, you will find yourself thinking he can get away with it.
Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson provide great supporting roles.
Superb cinematography by Marcel Zyskind and excellent score help to transport you to 1950s small town Texas.

I enjoy a good crime/serial killer film and thought the premise of this one was very promising. I'll hand it to the actors...SUPERB acting...however...it was so superb i found it too disturbing to watch and this was one of the few films i had to switch off halfway through.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not For Everyone

Surely a film that can cause such an emotion, a film that makes you feel something is worthy of at least some credit. This is not a film for everyone that's for sure but stick with it and you'll a fascinating story of one mans descent into the darkness that has remained dormant since his childhood.- Was this review helpful to you?

Piece of violent crap
