Scandinavian noir

Complex and gripping drama set in Copenhagen. Superbly acted and filmed. The plot twists and turns more time than a corkscrew but never loses your attention. Highly recommended.- Was this review helpful to you?

(95)Absolutely brilliant
By a customer , 01 Jun 2013Now I know why everyone was raving about this programme. It is first-rate. Acting superb throughout. They kept the suspense going really well with a little cliff-hanger at the end of each episode to make you eager for the next one. You would think that 20 episodes would be too long but it really was not.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Best
By a customer , 01 Jun 2013Possibly the best crime series I have ever seen. It is fantastic, the acting brilliant, the characters intriguing. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. And we couldn't do anything else but watch the next episode.- Was this review helpful to you?

The chilly allure of Lund.
By a customer , 30 May 2013A superb multiple murder mystery wrapped up in a convoluted political mystery and clothed in the mystery of the Danish language. Compulsive viewing! A few small criticisms for which I withhold a star:- it's very long, several loose ends are left untied and I'm not convinced the solution is beyond reasonable doubt. Apparently the book provides a more comprehensive explanation.- Was this review helpful to you?

Gripping drama
By Wille9 (3 reviews) from London , 12 May 2013The worse thing was waiting for the next DVD to arrive in the post, full of twists and turns, but manages to be unguessable (Well for me) until the end. A totally gripping drama.- Was this review helpful to you?

Danish acting at its best
By emily8634 (1 review) , 06 May 2013Only viewed the first four episodes so far. Does Borgen and The Killing share the same casting director or are there only a handful of Danish actors! Nevertheless, fast-paced, complicated and very watchable.- Was this review helpful to you?
