A Musketeer movie in all but name. There's loyality, betrayal, spoilt princesses, resourceful handmaidens and flashing blades aplenty. Obviously made on a shoestring ( most of the money seems to have gone on the costumes)this still delivers more 'en garde' per buck than most B flicks. Only gripe is that some of the sword play seems a little tame but that's probably because I've been sword-fight-spoiled by high octane Chinese stuff like 'House of Flying Daggers'. But overall this is good, simple swashbuckling fun. The storyline is totally basic with elements of The Magnifcent Seven & Rio Bravo thrown in so don't go expecting a historically accurate, complex plot. Just sit back and induldge your chivalry.

What was I on renting this?

This was utter garbage. Avoid it. Appaling acting, script and sets compliment lousy fight seqences. I never relised films could be this bad
