This is one of the finest dramas to come to the BBC in years.
The cast, the standard of acting and the script are all excellent.
The scene where the parents gather at the lakeside, each not knowing whether their child is the body recovered from the lake is brilliantly acted and shot.
Puts the kind of rubbish served up on today's tv to shame.
Rent it!
Beyond excellent. John Simm's performance is a lesson in how it should be done - as is Jimmy McGovern's script. The beautiful Lake district scenery is also breathtaking. One of the best TV series ever made
