The mismatched buddy movie reaches an apotheosis of sorts here in director Tony Scott's flashy, foul-mouthed and formula no-brainer, which forsakes plot for overblown shoot-outs and endless car chases. Lifting it marginally above the thick-ear realm is the engaging chemistry between seedy gumshoe Bruce Willis and ex-footballer Damon Wayans. Both actors let humour spring effortlessly from their own personalities as well as from their screen characters, and the snappy put-downs make the epic mindlessness bearable.

a hell of a factory re call

a really cool film with a really great double act. willis has never been tougher than this ,even as the ultimate burnout and tony scott has never been sharper. an absolute classic,

certainly up there in the top five of all action films, without a doubt

This film has a lot of bad jokes in it but some, especially the comments that bruce willis's character makes, are quite funny. Don't let the oldness of the film set it back though, it is a classic and i deffinitely liked it.

    Die Hard - Try Hard

A lacklustre plot embellished with some mediocre acting, horrendous costumes, and some one liners of the highly polished variety - 'If we go any faster we'll go back in time!' made bearable by Willis' more than decent performance in the role of the dejected detective, duelling with hitman-cum-Graham Norton, Milo. Fans of Willis will certainly not resent watching this. A fine choice for a lazy evening. Light hearted with a spattering of violence and puchy enough to maintain your attention.

    Mayhem unleashed

I suppose it reflects my poor taste but I enjoyed this film. Hard man Willis, looking like a down and out on a bad day, can take a blow that would kill a lesser man. I liked the foul mouthed patter eg to a detective, 'You couldn't nail a two dollar whore.' Willis apparently lethal plunge over a clif in a car ends with him hopping out of the car to engage in the seemingly unecessary excercise of pumping bullets into another car which has plunged over the cliff. If you hate cars you will like this film - they take some serious punishment incluing being blown up spectacularly. This method being a speciality of the film.

    Very Good Film

I really enjoy watching this film,

It has a bit of everything in it.

Bruce Willis makes it even better with his role as the tough & sarky Private Detective.

PURE WILLIS - MUST HAVE ACTION FILM !!!

This movie IS MY PERSONAL FAVORATE. Bruce Willis at his wise cracking/arse kicking self that he brought him to fame with Die Hard. And then some. No extras but that did not bother me. Waynes brings credit to the family of comedians that just boasts Willis' comic timing. FOR ALL ACTION FANS !!!
