    [Highly rated reviewer]

The style of the movie is much like those early 60s war movies shot on a shoestring and with no allowance for the reality.

Here we get single shots from a pistol that kill instantly every time (no nasty wounded men here), uniforms that are obviously what they had in the wardrobe - they are certainly NOT para uniforms, an endless supply of cigarettes and ammunition, buildings that have never heard of a blackout, stun guns fired by holding the magazine, etc, etc, plus an American (oh, sorry he's "Canadian") Lieutenant piloting a glider!

If you have more than three brain cells working don't bother. The acting is wooden, the direction is worse and the storyline poor.

  • Not the worst but not the best.

In all honesty it past the time. It isnt one of my fave war movies but it isnt the worst. Think its the only movie where i felt for the three Germans. The America got on my nerves. Yet i liked the scene of the germans trying to act like cowboys.

Absolutely terrible. I switched it off after about 10 minutes, and would not recommend it to anyone. Very disappointing indeed.

So low budget and naff that Billy Zane wears a hat all through it because the producers couldn't afford a syrup! Never in the history of film have so many viewers wanted the Nazi's to win.

  • Shockingly bad!

Considering the age of this film and the amount of fairly well known actors in it, it was a really really bad film. The direction was all over the place, the script was far from defined, there was no heart or soul in this film at all and the special effects (CGI) were so shocking it could of made me weep. I wouldn't even recommend to watch this even if you had nothing to do, I'd recommend you find something more productive to do like cut your lawn or something.
