Mmmmm seems the 'Last' Exorcism has nothing to do with The Exorcist or it's pre/sequels...Nor is it as good (except perhaps for the Exorcist 3 the Heretic, which is also awful)
This film should perhaps be renamed 'the Spooky girl who does yoga' as that is pretty much all that happens in it...
After all why spend time and money on special FX and CGI when your leading leading can twitch like a loon and sit at jaunty angles...terrifying- Was this review helpful to you?

(356)A creepy little movie - and then the ending
By dangw (1 review) , 12 Jun 2013A creepy little movie with some interesting twists on the usual exorcism based movies. The title and poster are very misleading, in fact originally this movie was called Cotton; which is telling as this film is more about the pastor Cotton then any possibly demons or horror show. It avoids all the (frankly overused) CG special effects of similar movies and instead goes with good old fashioned atmospheric tension building and 'boos and bangs'. As usual with these documentary style movies you have to suspend you disbelief somewhat (some slightly dodgy ADR and awkward dialogue) but if you just go with it as a technique to draw you in it's surprisingly effective. However I think it ends on a bit of a dud final act which is a shame. It seems that they felt the need to give us a pay off (quite a boring one in my opinion) when it would have been more effective to stay with the smaller ambiguous movie it started with. If you want a big loud CG jumpy movie - this is not for you. If instead you fancy something a little more low key and menacing then enjoy. Just stop it at 1:12:05.- Was this review helpful to you?

awesome stuff

I need to exorcise this film
