I'll keep this brief: this film was bad. Not bad in a good way either, just BAD. The acting's fine and it looks great, it's just those pesky things the script and characters - a bunch of well off middle class white guys (the only black guy is the gay neighbour - token alert!) who moan about their relationships with hot women and their lives being planned out. I hate it when you KNOW you're going to buy a million dollar home with a model type lady, don't you?! Some of the characters could easily be chopped out of this and you'd never know it or, more importantly, care. OK, this is going on a bit but I can feel the venting doing good. To summarise - baaad, totally implausible script and dreary, self-obsessed characters. Sold!
I have to admit this is not my typical choice of movie, but i was suprised at how much i liked it. Its truely moving. A great blend of comedy, romance and tears. A somewhat unknown cast all prove to be very natural, and very believeable. The best part of this movie is how close it cuts to real life. At the same time i think that maybe some wont appreciate the finer points unless they have been in, or seen similar situations.
This is a great film, and well worth the 90 minutes to watch it.
Oscar-winning writer Paul Haggis has agreed to put pen to paper for the next film in the James Bond franchise, it emerged today. Haggis, who co-wrote last year's rejuvenation of the spy franchise, Casino Royale, is to lend his talents once again for the 22nd movie, reports the Los Angeles Times. The film is as-yet untitled but could see the eponymous hero keep his smooth yet brutal personality, as brilliantly played by Daniel Craig in his first outing as Bond. And prospects for the movie may be Read more
