Not really foradult audiences but funBy jennifer claire from Ireland , 20 Oct 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]I would have like dthis better if I were 12 and not 42, I think, but this retelling of the Arthurian legend, set in ancient Rome, is quite suitable for the sprogs, unless they are very young or very squeamish.
Firth is probably miscast- his 'rousing' speech at the end sounds more like a frustrated school teacher trying to get the class to buck up its ideas- but the action is non-stop and the child star is good. If only they had left off those last five minutes it would have been a better film all around.

Fun historical nonsenseBy monkeybum (105 reviews) from Darkest Devon, England , 19 Feb 2013Stretched history to snapping point, but if you're gonna make implausible connections between known events you might as well get a smattering of film stars to help. Eye-candy for the ladies in the shape of unusually rugged Colin Firth, and for the gents with the delicious Aishwarya Rai - or vice versa if you like!
A fun picture for the whole familyBy Historyman (34 reviews) from Ilford , 23 Jan 2013Most historical movies wander away from the truth, and this one wandered further than most, but having said that it was good clean entertainment which a whole family could watch together and all get a lot of fun from it. The story had elements of King Arthur but with touches of Indiana Jones and Sinbad. The sword play and combat was not too violent. The leading lady was very cute. So there you go Dad, if you want an evenings enteratnment with Mum and the kids this will do very nicely.
Surprise Package!By BluesHarpBoy (1 review) , 22 Jan 2013This movie came as a complete surprise to me! It seems to have been sidelined by all the other films in the same vogue! I thought it was very good & rate it more than the others!
the last legion? no wonder! died of boredomBy roadhouse (1 review) , 14 Jan 2013avoid at all costs. lasted 40 minutes and then ended up turning it off as i was so bored. storyline is stupid, fight scenes are that quick you don,t know who is who and the acting is poor.
great family fun filmBy greenjob (3 reviews) , 16 Dec 2012I thought this was great A bit of tongue in cheek stuff with a lot of comedy. I can understand that had anyone got this for some sort of Gladiator type movie they would be disappointed but for family viewing and a bit of fun this is great
