Formulaic sci-fi movie
By a customer from Birmingham, UK , 04 Apr 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Olivier Gruner (a poor man's Jean Claude Van Damme) is the leader of a group of mercenaries who undertake missions for the US government when it wants 'plausible deniability.' Following a dog fight between US aircraft and a UFO, an escape pod is tracked by radar landing in Mexico, and Gruner and his team are given the task of tracking it down and recovering or destroying it. Naturally, they are not told the full story... This is a formulaic 'by the numbers' sci-fi movie, borrowing heavily on the plotline of Predator and featuring many actors who are stalwarts of the straight-to-video creature feature market, who give workmanlike, if not brilliant, performances. However, the film lacks continuity (scenes change abruptly), logic (the alien, when absorbing human flesh, leaves the clothes behind, but when taking on the form of its human victims, it is fully clothed!) and explanation (what are the aliens wanting here?). The film is presented in standard 4:3 ratio, and despite the given running time of 97 minutes, lasts less than 80. There are no extras on the DVD. One redeeming feature is that the sfx are above average for a low budget flic. If you like 'B' movie sci-fi or creature features films or want a no-brainer to doze in front of, then rent this movie.- Was this review helpful to you?

(6)First line of embarrassment
By LimeyWop (33 reviews) from Retford , 09 Mar 2012I rented this without paying too much attention to the reviews. Bad mistake. It would have to be a lot better to be classed as a B movie. It is really very bad.- Was this review helpful to you?

Total Rubbish
By a customer from Surrey , 07 Feb 2006This trash has to be seen to be believed.Theres nothing like a good sci-fi movie...and this is nothing like a good sci-fi movie. Buck Rodgers is more realistic and watching paint dry is more entertaining than this. You have been Warned.- Was this review helpful to you?

What a load of rubbish
By a customer from England , 13 Jan 2006The film has been made by a very low budget studio, the cover is just to decieve you, there an no popular or well known actors in it, the storyline is rubbish, please just rent indepedance day, much better and partly true. The film should be called the last line of very low budget movie studios in the yellow pages.- Was this review helpful to you?
