This is a really good film to sit and watch with the kids, as it will entertain them and keep you happy enough as well. Has a slightly easter bias (Mimsy happens to be a - way too cute - stuffed wabbit !) so is ideal to watch with the young 'uns around the easter holidays, (though if it isn't easter you will still enjoy this anyway). has enough to keep the young (and not so young) entertained. Recommended.
My children got bored of this film and weren't really interested in it after the 1st ten minutes of the film it was really quiet slow and not really a child's film and not at all any good if your looking for a film to watch as a family
We saw this film and really enjoyed it,
Its well worth looking at.
Do rent it for the kids over the holidays.
This film was just a little too bland for me. The story didn't really seem to go anywhere, there was no real depth to any of the characters. I know that is is for children but even so as an adult watching it I didn't enjoy it. The last 30 minutes of the film were the best. Very disappointed.
The film is an ideal watch for a lazy Sunday afternoon in on the sofa. A combination of solid script, taxing but easy to follow plot and an understated cast all join together to create a feel good movie for all the family to enjoy.

Firstly I watched this alone. It was the only unwatched movie in the house at the time, so I watched it. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Expecting a Jumanji type of film I was happy to see I was wrong. I'd heard nothing about this movie, so had nothing but my own thoughts to watch along with me.
The little girl in the movie is such a brilliant little actor (the boy playing her brother not so much)
Then I watched this movie with my 13yr old daughter (who some times likes a break from scary movies). I always know she likes a movie when she decides to take it to bed with her to watch again.
Very enjoyable, good family fun.
This is one of the better family films we have seen for some time - all the family enjoyed it! Reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned that the kids may not find it interesting - I needn't have worried - they were gripped from start to finish. Great stuff!
Initially i thought this was one of them films where some genius has tricked me into renting it but instead it turned out to be ok.
This film was a good film overall but it lacked any energy to make you believe in the characters or why the kids do what they do.
The storyline was excellent and original but the it's a shame that the budget for it wasn't that great because this had the potential to be a much greater kid grabber and possible film 'keeper' but instead it is let down by shoddy acting and a poor script. I also think a better director would have made something more of it.
Dissapointing that it didn't do well but not surprised due to the final product.
sir
This film is worth a watch, great for the kids and adults.
A little girl finds a rabbit sent back in time, which was sent to save the people in the future.
There is nothing complicated about following this storyline and your not left wondering what it was all about, like alot of films out recently.
It's a film where all the family can sit together and enjoy a film with each other, great for a family night in.
Let's hope there isn't going to be a 'The Last Mimzy 2' because this was boring. If that Mimzy comes back I'll put it in the trash myself! The kids left after 10 minutes, and I had to force myself to sit until the end. Ok, the CGI bits are ok, but nothing special, and certainly not enough to keep a kid hooked. The story line is way too predictable and annoyingly slow. One to avoid.
This film thrilled a group of children aged 10 to 12. Younger would be fine too. Its unusual, storywise; you need to pick up the plot line at the beginning, but even if not, it's adventurous at the same time as whimsical. The special effects are excellent, the child actors supreb, and there's enough subtle comedy to keep it rolling along beautifully.
Another good childrens film. Quite different and original and quite different from films such as Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia, but another good warm hearted family film which kids of various ages should enjoy. Some nice special effects and well acted, kids were great especially the little girl and a nice link to Alice Through The Looking Glass. Worth watching
