    [Highly rated reviewer]

The Last Song stars Miley Cyrus as 17 year old Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller who remains as rebellious and distant as she was the day after her parents' ugly divorce and father's subsequent relocation to Georgia three years ago.

Once a classical piano prodigy under the tutelage of her father, Steve, Ronnie now rejects the instrument in favour of partying with her friends and has not spoken to her father since he left.

Steve is given the chance to reconnect with Ronnie when her mother, Kim, sends the rebellious teen and her younger brother, Jonah, to spend the summer with him.

Steve, a former Juilliard professor and concert pianist, now lives a quiet life in Tybee Island, the small Georgia beach town where he grew up, working on a stained glass window for the local church to replace one lost in a fire.

Upon her arrival, Ronnie is miserable, hostile and defensive toward all those around her, including handsome, popular Will Blakelee - until, after both she and Will become involved in protecting a Loggerhead Sea Turtle nest, she discovers he is deeper than she believed.

As Ronnie falls in love with Will, she also manages to bond with Steve through the one thing they have in common- music.

    Well worth watching !!

That's the only reason why I rented this. The movie is bit poo but Liam deserves 5 stars; he is soooooo sexy. Well done to his mum coz she did a pretty good job with him and his brother (Chris btw). And what about the movie? Oh well who cares when Liam is soooooo hot :)

Amazing. It is so heartfelt and I love it so much. The ending has a sad twist and it shows how life does not go to plan and you need someone there for you.

  • Watchable average weepie

Californian Teen movie about rebellious daughter spending summer with estranged father in a beach house who turns out to be dying. Daughter falls in love, and comes good. Predictable and formulaic but actually it is watchable. The cast and acting is not bad. The plot is a bit cheesy. Slushy, romantic drama weepie., Watchable.

Easy to watch but nothing special. It certainly doesn't match up to the standard of The Notebook. The stand-out performance is, by far, by Bobby Coleman who acts Miley, Liam and Greg off the screen.
