Very enjoyable
By Gromit (44 reviews) from Canterbury , 15 May 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
This film really does return to the days of swashbuckling movies that are 'fun for all the family'. Its action packed and slyly funny in places - lots of swordplay and somersaults, horse stunts and explosions. This is definitely a film that you can sit your kids down in front of, there is very little blood and its often reminiscent of old Errol Flynn movies. Banderas is suitably dashing in the lead role, camping it up enough to give the part a little more depth, and Zeta-Jones is as straightforward as ever (albeit unspectacular). But the real star of this film is Adrian Alonso, 'son of zorro'. One to look out for in the future I think. This film delivers excitement and adventure in a classic good guys vs bad guys manner. My only criticism is that I feel it lacks the style of the first film due to obvious lack of Anthony Hopkins' character. Apart from that, its great fun for a saturday night. Enjoy!- Was this review helpful to you?

(172)The acting is appalling
By gianino (618 reviews) from London , 27 Oct 2012The plot is poor and the acting is exceptionally bad. Banderas, ZJ and Sewell are incredibly bad; I think my nephew who's 10 months old can do a better job. What a crock!!!!!!!!! Not funny at all and incredibly bad.- Was this review helpful to you?
