As good if not better than anything from the Disney studios to date!
By younglochinvar (66 reviews) from Prestatyn , 25 Sep 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
The only film I've ever seen more than once in a cinema. Admittedly I was accompanied by at least one of my two young children on each ocassion! The soundtrack takes your breath away and is probably only done justice by a cinematic surround-sound system.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 23 Feb 2013It's an old school classic on what Walt Disney can offer! Shame their new Disney films don't show this sort of quality- Was this review helpful to you?

Up there amongst the very best animated films of all time and one of my personal favorites, with songs from Elton John, great performances and terrific characters this fantastic film is a true classic! Hakuna Matada - means no worries! Enjoy!- Was this review helpful to you?

The lion king... exactly!
By tam115 (20 reviews) from Southampton , 14 May 2012The lion king is a difficult movie to review because there is very little I can say with repeating whats already been said. To summarize, if you like animated movie by any definition and have not seen this, DO SO NOW!
The lion king is the most beautiful, touching and awe inspiring experience available in the hand drawn world. Every aspect of this movies execution is perfect. The voice acting, characters, music both in terms of backing score and disney songs. Its also very brave for a children's movie showing themes such as death and love far more vividly than any other. And I don't mean visually vivid of-course, I mean emotionally vivid.
The only complaints I have are 1: the story is just hamlet with a brighter ending, and 2: the ending does get a little sickly sweet. Apart from that however this movie is a must see for all ages, and no childhood is complete without this being in some part of it.- Was this review helpful to you?
