The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Beginning Details

Could have been so much better

I know not to expect much from Disney sequels but this film does have the edge over the little mermaid 2, if only because the Animation quality is slightly better and the new characters are a bit more interesting.

However, it does not in any way compare to the original, the 'new' songs fall flat (and not all of those supposedly new songs are new), the storyline is in no way epic and fairly predictable even by very young children and because it's a prequel when various characters are imperiled there's no tension as everyone knows they are in other little mermaid films set after this.

With just a little bit of work on some real songs and a decent script writer it might have been more then just a pretty face, shame really when the original was one of Disney's best films.

3rd Film As Good As The First

As good as all the other one and my little girl loved and watches it a few times a week and never seems to get bored of it.
