THE LONE RANGER IN COLOUR
By DAVID SHAWCROSS from Stalybridge, Cheshire, , 23 Nov 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
I only ever remember the Lone Ranger in monochrome (Black & White) & when I saw this it was even better. Brilliant for kids since there is no sex or bad language & no real violence. The story lines are all a bit tame & the acting by modern standards is not so good, but it is still very enjoyable. Once you start to watch you are compelled to sit through the whole series.
I always feel sorry for his horse in the opening credits I wouldn`t like someone firing a six gun alongside my ear the poor animal must be deaf.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Happy Memories
By MichaelW (7 reviews) from Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire , 25 Oct 2012The memories came flooding back of Saturday morning ABC matinees and shouting 'Hi Yo Silver' as you galloped home slapping your sides.
So many happy thoughts of days gone by when the world was a simpler and better place. The Lone Ranger gave us the standards and ideals which he represented on screen.
Clayton Moore was a legend... a respected, decent and honest man and unfortunately there aren't enough of his like in the world today.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Lone Ranger Rides Again, This Time In Colour
By a customer from Derby, England , 26 Mar 2007Having recently viewed the 38 colour episodes from the 1950 series of The Lone Ranger I would like to share my view of this iconic TV series.
It does not follow the current trend of displaying the gritty realism of the Old West as epitomised by 'Deadwood' but reminds us of the idealism and glamour of the heroes of the west from days gone by.
The series has a naivety and charm all of its own which may only appeal to those of a certain age or those displaying a specific interest in the genre.
As one who qualifys in both categories I thoroughly enjoyed watching these episodes in colour for the first time.
I would add that the use of colour brings new life into the series and is on a par with the B westerns of the time.
Thank you Lovefilm for rekindling memories of my youth and to all others out there from a similar background I would recommend viewing these discs.- Was this review helpful to you?
