Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels filled a break from their long-running black-and-white TV series by starring in this deluxe Warner Bros western, still playing their usual characters of the masked avenger and his Indian cohort, Tonto. The hills of southern Utah echo to the cry of “Hi-ho, Silver!” as the duo carry out more brave exploits, exposing rancher Lyle Bettger as the man stirring up the Indians to break their treaty so that he can mine the silver in their sacred mountain. But what's former teenage brat Bonita Granville doing making a comeback as Bettger's wife? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that she was married to the producer of the Lone Ranger series, Jack Wrather.

    Enjoyable slush

Not Great Cinema by any means, but enjoyable nonsense with plenty of galloping round on horses and bad guys coming messily unstuck.
