Zac Efron shows audiences he's all grown up in this schmaltzy melodrama, based on yet another Nicholas Sparks novel.

Nice SceneryBy a customer , 26 Sep 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]I saw this on a plane back from the US. I had no idea who the main players were but was extremely impressed by Zac Efron. The story is pretty standard fare with the usual overt moral messages but the scenery and images are breathtaking with all of the charachters credible giving the storyline a nice feeling of reality plus it has cute dogs and a glimpse of Efron's butt (what's not to like girls?).
Apart from Mr Efron being fit as a butchers dog he played the character of Logan with a powerful, quiet sensibility which actually overcomes some of the more cringeworthy lines he's given. Taylor Schilling is also very good, there was definitely nice chemistry.
There is no hint of teen fluff or shallow childish pap from HSM star. In short this is a great love story. Rent this film for a romantic night in or for a bit of feel good, the scenery alone is worth it

Women will enjoy this filmBy a customer , 14 Jan 2013My wife really enjoyed this as she loves romantic films (hence 4 stars) and the scenery was good also, but not my cup of tea.
don't miss it...By a customer , 03 Jan 2013This film is for Nicholas Sparks fans, which I am and those who like romantic dramas. Beautiful photography and excellent performances from all main characters especially Zac Ephron in a moving story. Great night in!
A really good filmBy Sarawith4 (3 reviews) , 02 Jan 2013A fantastic film with excellent acting especially from Zac Efron who has certainly left HSM behind. I'm personally looking forward to see what he has coming out next.
Amazing Film as all Nicholas Sparks Adaptions are!By JenJanex (2 reviews) from Manchester , 27 Dec 2012I love all Nicholas Sparks adaptations, the storylines are wonderful, cry & laugh at all of them! Me and my mum love our movie nights in with our Tearjerkers and Popcorn! and I must say Phwoar... Zac looks so yummy buffed up!
Surprisingly goodBy Bibbsybobbsy (1 review) , 18 Dec 2012The male character is a little too good to be true - can play the piano etc - but the nasty husband is played really well. Nicely shot.
