Enough to keep the parents awake.
By kmcca5 from East Sussex , 17 Feb 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
I was dreading taking my daughter to see this, I was praying that sleep would over take me and Id not have to suffer. But it wasnt that bad. Good solid kids film, lots of fun and a great cast of voices. I dont like Robbie Williams but he was actually (This sticks in my thought) good in this! The Animation is slick and looks great.
There are some silly over the top drug references from Dylan to try and keep the students happy that did make me cringe but all in all a cracking kids film with just about enough to keep the parents awake.
Watchable 4 out of 7.- Was this review helpful to you?

(267)not as good as the orignal series what a shame
By cheesekake (1283 reviews) from uk , 16 Mar 2012sometimes film producers like to modernise classic films, or television, for the modern audience with failed results. This is one of them such films.
if you've never seen the original series or are a bairn you'll love it, otherwise my adivce is to give it a miss. Shame too- Was this review helpful to you?

Magically Average
By Jammy74 (67 reviews) from Felixstowe, UK , 05 Feb 2010The Magic Roundabout is a pretty good update on the classic TV series, although there isn't much to it. The plot, such as it is, is wafer-thin and to be honest it's of no great importance to the audience this film is aimed at (i.e. kids).
The animation is OK, without being a particular threat to Pixar or Dreamworks, and the voice cast do just about enough. Not sure about Robbie Williams as Dougal though.
All in all, it's just a bit average. It passes the time for your kids, but is quickly forgotten. Standard family fare, really.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not Very Magic
By ZiggyTheKid (86 reviews) from Dundee , 05 Jan 2010A slick Presentation does nothing for this grossly inadequate and extremely setimental childrens tale based on the 60s cartoon and book series; only the charatcters survive but none of the appeal that made the oringinal such good fun.- Was this review helpful to you?

Aimed at the kids
By bigAL1978 (30 reviews) from Bolton , 21 Oct 2009Nothing particularly wrong with the movie, I incorrectly assumed this would work on an adult level too like a Pixar movie. I had to switch it off after a few minutes, probably very good for pre school etc.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dissapointing
By a customer from Watford , 16 Sep 2009My wife and I were really forward to this movie. What a let down. Dispite the casts even that could not save this dribble. Avoid.- Was this review helpful to you?
