This is a superb Brazilian film, very enjoyable, about a young man who works as a photocopier operator and is trying to scrape enough money to ask out a pretty neighbour, Sílvia. The way he gets his money is not entirely honest (as we shall see), and we are left with a slightly bitter taste in our mouths (does crime indeed pay?). But this does not detract from this film being a highly enjoyable and well told tale, with some quite surprising twists towards the end (do not read too many reviews if you don't want the experience spoilt). Shameful that (at least at the time of writing this review) it never got a UK cinema release. You'll enjoy it, but expect to be more than a little disturbed by the morals... Imagine 'Only Fools and Horses' was filmed by Larry Clark or something and you're almost there.
