King of Kafiristan
By zzzzzz (112 reviews) from at home , 25 Jan 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Sick of all the latest movies that have loads of CGI? Fed up with remakes?
Tired of movies with poor stories and bad acting?
If so try this gem from 1975. No CGI, great story, fantastic actors
Michael Caine and Sean Connery star in this tale of grand adventure
in the days of empire.
A movie you can watch again and again.- Was this review helpful to you?

(40)Good old fashioned action & adventure film
By OscarFreak (417 reviews) from London , 14 Nov 2012A very enjoyable film with great acting from the leads, magnificent location shots and the two hours duration just flew by. Might seem dated by modern standards but don't be put off view it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Stunning Cinematography
By a customer , 10 Jan 2012An entertaining, but light weight story about two men's bid to become king of Kafiristan. Many of the scenes in the film are amazing to look at.
The acting is superb. The only negative thing about the story is that the plot is easily predictable whilst at the same time as being unbelievable.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Man Who Would Be King
By NICKJOJO (255 reviews) from Surrey , 23 Nov 2011I saw this film last 20 odd years ago and although its still entertaining and Sean and Michael seem to be having fun it has dated rather and is now best watched to see giants performing together.- Was this review helpful to you?

Another gem sparkles
By a customer , 08 Sep 2011Have either of these two guys ever been in a bad film? I am not a film buff, but I don't believe either of these two guys have ever been in a bad film! Says it all really.
Possibly more aptly titled as The Man Who Would be God, these two die hards take over a small country where Connery finds himself hailed as a god which is played upon to the hilt by Caine. Very human, very compelling and very entertaining.- Was this review helpful to you?
