best Korean film since Old Boy

utterly convincing and brilliant . powerful story which although violent convinces in the bond between lead characters. The fight scenes are choreographed so far ahead of Hollywood which although brutally violent still remain to be quite beautiful to watch.

By spoonz (8 reviews) from London , 19 May 2013Just to balance the gushing reviews. I did watch this film to the end, and enjoyed quite a bit of it. But come on. Overly stylistic and sentimental. Average action scenes and no particular great set pieces. Some good acting though, particularly the bad guys. But the lead dude's haircut... looks more like a perfume model than a hard man. Still, manages to work on some level but not a high point in Korean cinema.- Was this review helpful to you?

Gripping, but, is it entertainment?

Lots of violence, some black humour, but it is a long way darker than Kill Bill or a Jet Li film: Some of the storyline is quite upsetting. Fantastic Epic
By Chang (16 reviews) , 14 May 2013i hate subtitled films; but i decided give one another chance and this is an excellent film and i mean a must to watch. i have said it a 100000000 times for get hollywood prediction films no one does epic films better than the orientals. so please dub more in english an get a huge fan base garaunteed. Excellent film, must see
