Nothing to write home aboutBy dvdlover from gwent , 13 Jan 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]Okay film to rent and watch. Would have been totally disappointed if I'd have bought this film.
Film is extremely low budget with obvious editing and a plot that is very fast and not thought out. Snipes does well as always but I think let down by the budget that was available.

The Marksman - Pretty Good.By Cornetto (959 reviews) from Lancaster , 02 Jun 2007The Marksman is pretty good, it stars Wesley Snipes as Painter, and it's all up to him to stop rebels taking over a nuclear plant. Pretty good action adventure, not my favourite movie that stars Wesley Snipes.
AwfulBy a customer from Co. Armagh, N. Ireland , 07 May 2007Cannot believe Snipes agreed to do this film. Its as if the directors knew it was going to be bad and decided to plough all their funds into a highly paid actor to try and hold it together. Snipes hardly says anything throughout the whole film (its as if he was getting paid per word) and the whole film felt cheap and rushed. Felt like an old 80's sat afternoon tv war action show. Near the end it threatened to continue the storyline and i was ready just to turn it off. But thankfully that was the end. Its a shame as i like Wesley Snipes, but i feel he just cashed in on this film and that there was very little money left for the rest of the film.. Shame....
Read a book instead !!!!By ross12b (4 reviews) from Weston-super-Mare, England , 13 Mar 2007I've just wasted an hour of my life watching this appallingly bad film. Wesley Snipes was clearly short of money when this script came through the post, and he should hang his head in shame. There's nothing special about the effects, the editing is almost comedy and the acting is horrendous. I'm pretty sure I saw the same Russian soldier die at least 3 times throughout the course of the film. Snipes should stick to Vampire hunting!
Good plot spoiled by too many bloopers.By DEENESH REVIS from Orkney Isles, Scotland , 25 Nov 2006As the title, a storyline with some potential is horribly wasted due to too many factual inaccuracies. Call me a geek if you want, but the fighter scene was a cut and shut job with clips from Top Gun mixed with terrible 'special effets'. Now this is blasphamy itself, as Top Gun is one of my all time favorite films, and to use clips from it in this manner is a crime!
The other major blooper during a gun battle. A soldier is shown clip after clip with different weapons. One scene with an AK, the next with his original weapon. Terrible oversights which even people without military experience would no doubt notice.
Save 90 mins and rent something else.
Truly a bad movieBy Angelique Starr from London , 09 Nov 2006Can't believe Wesley signed up for this one - poor acting from all (maybe a little too harsh on Wesley, but his character could have had more substance), the script was completely rubbish. Truly a POOR film... The worse bit was the 'Dallas moment' actors look to camera, freeze frame end credits - cheesy and totally rubbish
