The under-rated Janeane Garofalo gets to flex her acting muscles in this quirky romantic comedy from Ireland. She stars as Marcy, dispatched to the Emerald Isle to round up a US senator's ancestors. Inadvertently she finds herself at a matchmaking festival, where sparks are soon flying between her and gauche barman David O'Hara. Matchmaker Milo O'Shea bets he can get them together and sends them on a wild goose chase to the Aran islands. It's unfortunate that the movie begins and ends in America, but what's in between has all the charm that Ireland can offer.

Yes! Years of waiting are over !

Rent it, watch it, laugh, laugh, laugh and watch it over and over again.

I watched it when it came out in 1997 and till today it is one of the funniest movies I ever saw.

You like Waking Ned, then you love this little gem.
