Jason Statham is Arthur Bishop - the 'Mechanic' - an elite assassin with a unique talent for eliminating targets with deadly skill and total emotional detachment. The only attachment in his life is to his mentor and friend Harry. When Harry is murdered Bishop takes on a self-imposed assignment to kill the murderers, using Harry's own legacy to avenge his death. Harry's son Steve emerges with the same vengeful goal and determination to learn Bishop's trade and soon a deadly partnership is born. But while in pursuit of their ultimate mark, deceptions threaten to surface and those hired to fix problems become the problems themselves.

Loved this film, just a great action, easy watch,no massively complicated plot to follow, just sit back and enjoy every minute.

Absolute garbage, poor idea, poor acting just poor poor poor. Gave it half a star purely because Statham is in it, I expect more of the great man.

Decent night in

Not a classic, but a good action movie with credible and interesting sub plot. It ticked along quite nicely with the odd twist; my wife and I both enjoyed it, despite our early scepticism!

Worth the viewing

Sit back and enjoy a straight forward plot. I think it is based on old film with the same title staring Charles Bronson, but with a modern approach.

...that should tell you all that you need to know. Some very imaginative ways to kill someone. Much better that 'Saw's ideas.

Statham calms down...a little

This one is a bit more subtle than your average Statham movie as the quota of punches thrown and bullets fired seems to have decreased dramatically. However, it's still a fairly enjoyable action movie with, it's just a little more serious than his usual silly punch up movies and it has a very decent ending.
