    You have NO new messages....

Family from the big city with a troubled teen daughter decide to make a clean break putting all their troubles behind them starting a new life on a farm. The farm is run down, the house very 'amitiville' style dark and has a history...... yep does sound familiar doesn't it !!! Wasn't the worst 90 minutes ever, it is tense-ish at times, but is definately not 'horror' and, unless you have been hiding in the cellar yourself for the past 30 yaers, you will certainly have the 'I've seen all this before' feeling right from the start. Not entirely shabby, but unless you are a teen looking for any excuse you can to get your partner to cuddle up closer, don't go out of your way to watch this one.

    worth watching

A family move to a house in the country looking for a 'new start', only to find weird stuff starts happening.

The teenage girl starts seeing things, but no-one believes her. Is she going mad? or is it something more sinister? some scary parts in places. I guessed what was going on quiet quickly but it is a good story and i would watch again in a few months.

I wont spoil the film by giving it away, if you turn the lights out it might just make you jump!

    Brilliant!!!

I felt stressed and on edge throughout the film. There were plenty of moments that made me jump. Enjoyed the story line. Don't want to spoil the film and give anything away. The little boy was brilliant. Highly recommended. Should not disappoint.

it could of been such a good movie!!

It was very jumpy and i don't often get scared by movies but i did with this but it is a shame the plot wasn't as good. It was quite predictable and the climate was not that great but if your looking to be jumped out of your seat then you should defiantly think of renting this!

This film was ok. but as soon as we were told who it was, it was then predictable!! there were parts that were freaky which were quite good. not being sadistic or anything but i like a good scary movie!! Someone needs to make a really good scary movie!!! something that no one can tell what's going to happen next!!

    Don't bother

A very disappointing horror, though i don't know what i expect from Hollywood's horror genre. It's always cliched tosh and this is no exception. Just a series of rubbish jumps where it's just the loud noise that makes you jump rather than anything scary. The 'ghosts' are always just heavily painted people that have every fother frame taken out of their movements so they're jittery, but in this film it just looked like fast forwarded Benny Hill scenes. The little child in this film is meant to react to seeing the horrible ghosts but as scary as they're meant to be he seems perfectly happy with them and not scared by a dead corpse staring at him.

Also thinking about this weak story line the next day, there's no reason why this film is called 'The Messengers' these ghosts are never trying to pass on any kind of message at any point. So anyway a very poor horror with an awfully weak storyline which is full of holes. Stay away if you like good Japanese horrors.
