Charming, audacious and genuinely innovative
The first two series of The Boosh were fantastic:funny, imaginative and creating something wholly their own.
No amount of costumes and an increased budget though can disguise the fact that these guys are running out of jokes. 7 or 8 minutes would roll by without me laughing once. This was an impossibility in the first two series despite several viewings.
Many of the 'new jokes' were lifted from the live show or taken from episodes 1 and 2. The songs also were less memorable than previous series.
That said it still has its moments and made me laugh out load on several ocassions.
I think the re-introduction of many characters from previous series are also evidence of these boys running out of ideas. That and the fact that this series is only 6 episodes long, whereas the previous series was 12.
I really hope these guys continue but if they continue like this they will seriously be jumping the shark in series 4. I'm wishing, like Vic Reeves, they continue for a long time. Maybe they should hire some writers or branch out doing other stuff( Fielding is already doing this I suppose, hes always popping up here and there).
There's still some good moments: the gay episode was funny and I like Vince's ballooning head in his tight trousers.
But guys stop getting drunk in Camden and get working or you might regret it!
Intelligent, smart and interesting to watch. From the minds of genius. Mighty Boosh is very possibly a 'marmite' programme, and whether you love it or hate it you are entitled to your own opinion... and I think it is GREAT! The only problem is there are not enough episodes, but what there is can be watched and enjoyed time and time again.

Scorsese, the man behind cinematic masterpieces such as Goodfellas, Raging Bull and Taxi Driver, reportedly decided to make the film after being inspired by the... Read more
