This remake of the popular 1960s TV series about three former criminals who become undercover cops is a good example of how not to make a movie. It spends 40 minutes establishing the hipness of its trio of main characters before getting to the plot, and then buries the rest in a mishmash of atmospherics and 20-something angst. Although Omar Epps is somewhat intriguing as Linc, Claire Danes is overly earnest in her role as Julie, while Giovanni Ribisi is merely irritating as Pete.
Trivial movie version of an uninteresting TV series that recalls some of the worst of the 'swinging' films of the 60s.
Supercool performances from three excellent acting talents! Throw in a slick plot- just the right amount of quirky and a steady foundation of good writing and you have this gem !
