    [Highly rated reviewer]

Roberto Benigni has been a respected italian comic since the early 80's.. only discovered recently outside the country. This movie is loosely based on a true story. But only loosely.. it's ultimately a very very good slap stick film. (lots of very funny physical comedy. It's even funny with the sound off. Worth a view.

  • Pure Italian Slapstick

    Rated - 4.0 stars

A sex maniac murderer is terrorising the city and the police is baffled.

Loris, a landscape designer and window fitter, is the prime suspect but all evidence prove to be circumstancial.

The police is putting a female officer on the case to provoke Loris and make him show his real face. The face of the monster.

Only problem is Loris resists temptation and the police woman becomes more and more sex crazed...

The setup and complexity of some scenes brings to mind the slapstick quality of the silent movies era.

Benigni delivers a pleasent and funny film that you will watch again and again.

It is always difficult to recomend a comedy film to someone else when you know that you love and laugh with this film for a weird reason, that you don't even know yourself.
